Specialized Laboratory Testing
Are you concerned about being toxic? The human body operates best when the body is in balance. Vitamin, mineral and hormonal levels are
very important to body function and health. A poor diet, stress, lack of sleep and exposure to toxins are just some of the many things that
can change the positive balance in the body. Dr. Stemper has several tests that can determine whether your body is out of balance. These tests
are simple to use. While there are a few that require a blood sample, many require only saliva, hair or urine samples. The results of these
tests will help the doctor determine exactly where your body is out of balance and how best to replace or decrease these imbalances.
Digestive
Do you experience bloating, heart burn, gluten intolerance, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, or chronic yeast infections? Without proper gut flora
it is difficult for the body to properly absorb nutrients from the foods that are eaten. An accurate assessment of intestinal flora, digestion,
absorption and intestinal function can be examined through a stool sample. This assessment can assist the doctor in making dietary, supplement and
digestive aid changes in your diet to improve digestion and elevate your symptoms.
Hormones
Female hormonal imbalances are frequently associated with menopause but they can happen at anytime in a woman’s life. If you are experiencing
painful periods, mood swings, memory problems, changes in appetite, difficulty conceiving, changes in sleep or libido you could be experiencing a
hormonal imbalance. A simple saliva test can assist the doctor in determining which hormones are out of balance.
Male hormonal imbalances can cause symptoms such as changes in appetite, sleep, mood, endurance, strength, memory, and libido. Hormonal levels
for males can be determined with a simple saliva test. The doctor can provide patients with hormonal support to reduce or elevate these symptoms.
Heavy Metal
Elemental imbalances can affect function throughout the body from the brain, kidney and bones to the nerves heart and skin. Headaches, fatigue,
loss of sense of smell, insomnia, decreased motor control, dermatitis, and anemia are just a few symptoms that can be caused when heavy metals are
out of balance. Direct exposure to heavy metals in industrial areas is only one of the many ways people are exposed to toxins. Many people are
exposed to toxins daily in their diets. Our diets can also be poor sources for many of the vitamin and minerals that are necessary to maintain
optimal health. Metabolic tests can be preformed using hair, blood and urine. The test results will give the doctor a clear picture of your bodies
toxins and deficiencies. Through proper diet and medications these conditions can be reversed.
Heart Disease
In the United States approximately 1 out of every 5 persons suffer from some form of heart disease. High blood pressure, coronary heart disease,
and stroke are the most common ailments. These and many others often go unnoticed with few if any symptoms. Many people are now aware of the
importance of monitoring their Cholesterol, LDL, HDL and Triglycerides levels. Advancements in cardiovascular research has provided doctors with
many more markers to assess cardiovascular health and therefore treat and successfully prevent heart disease. Comprehensive cardiovascular testing
requires only a fasting blood sample, the results can be life saving. If you have a family history of heart disease, currently have high blood
pressure, are obese, or have diabetes cardiovascular testing is strongly recommended.
